Look up the fuse assignment and relays for the S and CL Class. If you find a blown fuse, replace it with the same color. The S and CL class use the fuse types shown here.If you need the right fuses type for your Mercedes , you can order a box of 120 fuses for less than $10 on Amazon, see link here.

In the S CL class, these fuses are located in the following places:

The S and CL Class have always been Mercedes-Benz flagship vehicles. They always have had the most advanced technologies on them at the time of production and the W220 was no different. They have so many electronics that it is impossible for fuses to blow. Keep in mind that under normal operation of a certain circuit the fuse wouldn’t blow. So if you find a blown fuse and it blows again shortly after you replace it then you should look for an underlying problem to the corresponding circuit. We have provided the list below which should cover all 2000-2006 CL and S Classes. If you find any  discrepancies please leave a comment at the bottom of the page.

The best way to test fuses is to remove them and do a visual inspection. You will see a broken wire between the two terminals if it blown.

  1. CL500…. The Relay for the horn (P) isn’t under the rear seat ‼ It’s in the driver side fuse box ‼

  2. On my 2005 CL600 the F86 fuse is not blown, but the front cigarette lighter socket doesn’t have power. How do you remove it to see if it is connected? I suspect that the lighter was disconnected from the harness and that to get it work would only need to be connected.

    • On mine, the metal piece in the bottom of the cigarette lighter tube was broken. Also, check to see if the metal tabs in the tube are bent too far outwards. If so, use needlenose pliers to bend them back towards one another so that when you insert the cigarette lighter or your car charger there is a good connection between the metals. I ended up getting a whole new ashtray assembly off of eBay since the metal seat in mine was actually broken and shorting it out.

  3. I need to know which relay is for the blower fan under dash

  4. bonjour j’ai une mercedes s320cdi années 09 2002
